The BTBA invite and welcome applicants to the roles: Dir. Business Development, Head of Coaching Education, Regional Officer (South) & Tournaments Officer.

Director of Business Development
A member of the Executive Council responsible for leading the development of the vision, strategy and policies of the BTBA. Specific responsibilities will include:
- To manage the formulation of a Business Development Plan through the consideration of financial priorities and proposals, in consultation with the Director of Sport Development and the Director of Membership Services and the Treasurer.
- Support and signpost the National Council in terms of compliance, accountability and financial in relation to the governance of the organisation.
- Plan financial stability and the most appropriate use of funds with a key focus on increased participation and membership
- To support the Director of Sport Development in the generation of ‘inclusion’ programs.
- Provide regular feedback and commentary to the Communications Manager for inclusion on the website and social media.
- Engage with similar organisations, in terms of sporting and commercial opportunities. To share ideas and find ways to develop best practices to manage and promote the sport
- Seek out opportunities for sponsorship at local, regional and national levels.
- Highlight potential or actual conflicts of interest and give a lead in their recognition and resolution.
- Give firm strategic direction to the BTBA in the matters of setting overall policy, defining targets and monitoring performance.
- Provide a lead in the BTBA’s accountability for its integrity, effectiveness and openness.
A member of the National Council, with responsibility for coaching education programs. Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the National Council to ensure that the BTBA meets its overall objectives. Manage, develop, and review the coaching budget and strategies.
- Ownership and development of all coach education resource material, working with the Communications Manager, to develop publications relating to coaching.
- Manage and maintain the relationship, business, and coaching opportunities with the education committee of the European Bowling Federation.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of people to support and deliver the objectives of the Education Department.
- Develop business relationships with third party providers as required
- Design and implement a new schools program. Including:
- in-school training for teachers and pupils.
- Establish school bowling clubs that are able to compete against other school clubs. Regionally and nationally.
- Encourage their participation in out of school activities i.e. YBC’s
- Design a development roadmap for all coaches and officials to attain appropriate qualifications / credentials and the requirements for licence renewal.

Regional Officer (South)
A member of the National Council, reporting to the Director of Membership Services. Responsibilities include:
- Provide interface between Local Associations and the National Council
- Provide Communications Manager with regional updates for publication on the website
- Bring issues, comments, ideas and initiatives to the National Counci
- Provides a forum for sharing local good practice and successes, to be discussed and repeated across other Regions where appropriate

Tournaments Officer
A member of the National Council with responsibility for all Tournament play. Responsibilities include:
- Provides guidance and support to the Director of Sport and Director of Legal with regards to Tournament Rules.
- Establishes Tournament Managers that are accountable for each of the main BTBA Tour events and Championships. This will Include, but is not limited to, the following events :
- Adult Tour
- Tenpintour
- ICC Championships – all age groups
- National Championships – all age groups
- Youth Bowling England Tournaments
- Provide guidance and support to the Tournament managers to ensure that the events are planned, sanctioned, advertised, promoted and delivered.
- To liaise with the Head of Team England in relation to any Team England Trials or Events.
- To liaise with the Tournament Sanctions manager to ensure continuity for all sanctioned tournaments.
- Development of a National Tournaments committee that will assist in the development of National Tournament calendar and provide resolution re conflicts in scheduling.
- To maintain the Tournament Calendar for the year, including its publication on the BTBA Website.
- Provide support to the BTBA Sanctions manager in the resolution of non-compliance issues.
