Note: The Tenpintour is a Seniors tour with handicap scores. Total Scores & Total Pinfalls quoted below are inclusive of handicap, however the averages are event averages and are therefore scratch.
Stop 2 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2026 took place at GOBowling Dunstable on 28 February/1 March 2026. A total of 111 senior bowlers, comprising 80 men and31 women took place in this months competition.
Men – Bill Bailey – winning his first TPT title – used determination to battle his way through to the podium. Opening with 213 & 222 games and closing with an impressive 268 gave Bill Bailey a 1st place with 1,247 scr. + 324 hcap. = 1,571 total / 208 avg., closely followed in 2nd place by Gerry Wrathall with 1,220 + 318 = 1,538 / 203 also closing high with a 243 game to add to his 275 & 211 games in games 3 & 4. The 275 game was also the mens High Game, so extra kudos to Gerry! 3rd place went to Malcolm Jones with 1,090 +378 = 1,468 / 182 including games of 200 & 203, 4th went to Peter Fyles who enjoyed games of 216 & 228 in his1,182 +264 = 1,446 / 197 set and 5th was Jamie O’Dwyer who started super-hot with a 268 game and closing with 212, 214 & 214 games for a 1,231 + 210 = 1,441 / 205 total.
The mens (and tournaments) high game was shot by Gerry Wrathall in game 3, with a 275.
Women – Catherine Wills took another TPT title – her ninth – with games of 214, 267, 202 & 203 in a set which saw Wills narrowly take the win with 1,229 scr. + 72 hcap = 1,301 / 205 over 2nd placed Carole Orange with a great opening 247 game in her 1,203 +96 = 1,299 set which included games of 213 & 217. 3rd place saw Debbie Law close 239, 202 for 1,126 +156 = 1,282 / 188 whilst 4th place was home to Val Hopcraft, closing on a 224 for 1,092 +168 = 1,260 / 182. In 5th was Janet Rankin, opening with a 205 before carding her 956 +300 = 1,256 / 159 total.
The womens high game was shot by Catherine Wills in game 2, with a 267.
