55 senior men and 23 senior women travelled to GOBowling Dunstable to compete in the BTBA Tenpintour 2024 Stop 8, on 28/29 September 2024.
SENIOR MEN – Ron Griffin – with a complete set of ‘Honour Scores’, all 200 or more, Ron Griffin included games of 265 and 255 in a very fine set of 1,381 scratch + 258 handicap for a superb 1,639 / 230 avg. event totals and 1st place. 2nd place went to Alan Meades with 1,353 + 66 =1,419 1 / 226 avg. 3rd was Kenneth Iredale with 1,145 / 264 / 1,409 / 191, 4th was Craig Stimpson with 1,081 + 324 = 1,405 / 180 and 5th was Steve Donowski with 1,205 + 198 =1,403 / 201.
Among several athletes recording high scores above 250, Alan Meades also took the mens high game with 269 in game 2.
SENIOR WOMEN – Liz Eyre shot a high game of 224 in game 5 to take her winning total to 1,067 + 234 = 1,301 / 178 avg. and 1st place. 2nd place was Hilary Cooke with 1,104 + 192 =1,296 /184 avg., 3rd was Sally Spence with 1,153 + 120 =1,273 / 192, 4th was Carol Brock with 1,53 + 114 =167 1,267 / 192 and 5th was Sarah Boyer with 1,058 + 174 =1,232 / 176 avg.
The women’s High Game was shared by both Sally Spence and Carol Brock, who both shot 230 in games 5 and 1 respectively.
