55 Senior Men and 23 Senior Women traveled to Acocks Green Bowl to compete in Stop 6 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2024.
SENIOR MEN – Alan Meades had clearly had his morning porridge by firing-off both a complete set of honour scores and high game of 279, in his set of 1,463 scr. + 72 hcap = 1,535 total. Second place went to Robert Yandell, who fired 4 honour scores in his 1,198 / 300 / 1,498, Jonathan Herbert was 3rd with the second complete card of honour scores, posting 1,350 / 96 / 1,446, Stephen Bose 4th with 1,313 / 132 / 1,445 and Greg Turvey 5th, posting 1,296 / 126 / 1,442. Not a day to bring anything but your ‘A Game’ with the top 5 men carding a total of 26 x 200+ games out of a possible 30 games!
Chris West scored the Mens High Game with a 280 in game 5 within his set of 1,296 / 54 / 1,350.
SENIOR WOMEN – Sandra Boswell started bright opening with 200 in a set which included the Women’s High Game of 231 in game 5. Boswell completed her set with a mixed card, but was still victorious posting 1,111 scr. / 174 hcap. for 1,285. Second place ws Tina Connop with 8447 / 396 / 1,243 including a 212 game. Third place saw Sarah Boyer recording 998 / 210 / 1,208, in 4th was Manel Hannan with 871 / 336 / 1,207 and in 5th Sue Cobb had a 202 game in her 1,029 / 174 / 1,203 set.
