32 Senior women and 75 Senior men travelled to Acocks Green bowl to compete in Stop 3 of the 2024 Tenpintour.
SENIOR MEN – Ian Kennedy took, for him anyway, a frame to get ‘lined up’ opening with a 188 game, before powering ahead with games of 268, 216, 181, 228 and 257 for a 223 event average and 1st place, with 1338 scr. / 223 avg. / 1536 total. Second place saw Chris Skudder shoot 4 x 200+ games for 1262 / 210 / 1436, whilst Sukky Gill was one of only 2 senior men who had a full-set of 200+ games in 3rd place, with 1320 / 220 / 1422. 4th place went to Andrew Tapping with 1303 / 217 / 1417 / and 5th place to /keith Gratton with 1073 / 179 / 1409. Men’s High Game went to Steve D Thornton with 278 and 9 men had averages in excess of 200.
SENIOR WOMEN – Sally Spence hit the ground running with a 201 game, adding games of 216 and 202 for her winning score of 1116 scr. / 186 avg. / 1236 total. 2nd place, an women’s High Game of 224, went to Lynn Squibb who shot 2 x 200 games of 223 and 224, also with 1116 / 186 / 1230, and 3rd to Carol Ailes with 1025 / 171 / 1205. 4th place was Anna Yang including a 200-game with 1097 / 183 / 1193 and 5th to Lynn Gammage, winner of previous Stop 3,who closed with a 203-games in her 1048 / 175 / 1180. 200 games were in shorter supply for the women, with a total 11 shot.
