Note: The Tenpintour is a Seniors tour with handicap scores. Total Scores & Total Pinfalls quoted below are inclusive of handicap, however the averages are event averages and are therefore scratch.
Stop 3 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2026 took place at Airport Bowl Harlington on 4 & 5 April 2026. A total of 105 senior bowlers, comprising 77 men and 28 women took part this month.
Men – Steve Giddens – another great outing for Giddens as he records some fantastic scores, five of which were honour scores and closing with games of 258 & 244, This put Giddens convincingly ‘on top of the pile’ in 1st by some 48 pins, carding 1315 scr. + 210 hcap. = 1525 / 219 avg. In 2nd place was Martin Payne with 3 honors in his 1215 + 258 = 1,473 / 203 total and in tied-3rd were both Neil Mitchell with 1188 + 270 = 1,458 / 198 avg. including 4 honor scores and Robert Steward with 1170 + 288 = 1,458 / 195 avg. and 3 honour scores. Finally, 4th place saw David Crouch with 1229 +222 = 1451 / 205 avg. which included a superb 279 in game 2 and 4 honors overall.
The mens high game was shot by David Crouch in game 2, with a 279 and the mens high series was 1331 by Chris West.
Women – Liz Eyre topped the women’s sheet this month with 1030 + 270 = 1,300 / 172 avg. though the steady 1st-placed Eyre didn’t card an honor score this month. in 2nd, and also without an honor was Debbie Payne, with a very consistent 956 + 312 = 1,268 / 159 avg. with a 178 high score in game 2. 3rd place saw Sheila Ashton closing with games of 201 & 221 in her 1049 + 216 = 1,265 / 175 avg. and 4th place welcomed Carol Brock with games of 215 and 204 in her 1153 + 102 = 1 ,255 / 192 avg. total and in 5th was Sue Cobb, opening with a 215 game and closing out with 1044 + 204 for 1,248/ 174 avg.
The women’s high game was shot by Teresa McCarthy in game 3, with a 245 and the women’s high series was 1187 by Sandra Simmonds.
