The Official of the Year. Sponsored by the BTBA went to someone who has been the County Secretary running the Buckinghamshire Association for 20 plus years on her own. Each year she gets voted back in because no-one else volunteers! I am 100% sure without Karen the association would not continue. She completes all the paperwork for the BTBA including taking and completing the minutes of meetings.
Each year she organises fundraising events such as raffles, quiz nights, bingo and race nights trying to make as much money for the local association as possible to lower the costs for the bowlers.
Ladies and Gents the BTBA’s Official of the year is Karen Parslow.

Volunteer of the Year

Terri-Anne is the driving force behind so much of what makes Yorkshire bowling thrive. As Chair, she tirelessly runs committee meetings, tackles difficult conversations with fairness, and offers unwavering support to those of us who are newer to the admin and organisational side of the sport.
She is always there to answer questions and provide guidance, ensuring that everyone feels supported and included. Beyond her role as Chair, Terri-Anne gives even more of her time by running leagues at Shipley, including the popular Summer Series which attracts many participants and is admired for paying out on the night.
She doesn’t have to do any of this, yet she does it selflessly, and in doing so brings enjoyment, structure, and opportunity to bowlers across Yorkshire & beyond. Quite simply, Yorkshire bowling would not be the powerhouse it is today without her dedication, leadership , and passion at the helm.
Terri-Anne has done a great job overseeing our county over the last few years, she has spent countless hours organising, fundraising and helping our county members have the best possible experience when playing and being involved with the YTBA.

Chairman’s Award

For outstanding contribution to the sport of bowling. Simon has reinvested revenue from a bowling Application called Tenpin Tool kit. His money has helped turned the sport of bowling around within Sussex. We will have 11 new coaches thanks to his help. Simon has been a great ambassador for British bowling. He single handily has made a massive difference to youth bowling in Crawley saving the YBC from closing down.
Simon is a coach at Crawley YBC and also the brains behind tenpin toolkit an app that is helping bowlers improve their game across the world. At Crawley he has helped to turn the club from a few young bowlers to a thriving club and is supporting (financially) to bring on stream lots of new coaches. Internationally he reinvests the earnings from his app to support events and bowlers across the world including the recent striking against breast cancer event in Texas. He has certainly played a significant role in helping many to learn and fall in love with the sport later in life and we thank him for that.
