BTBA Chairman Geoff Brown was at the 2025 Youth Triple Crown in Stroud last weekend.
Geoff writes:
“I had the pleasure of attending the Youth Triple Crown at Stroud for two of the three days of competition. Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Iceland attended the event which was well organised and well run by Stephen, Brian & Gill, Tracy and Stuart.
“Our hosts at Stroud bowl did us proud as always, so a big thank you to all the staff at the bowl for their excellent service.
Vicki, Hadley and the coaching team did a great job with the four teams.
“The Bowling was outstanding with plenty of high scores. I am always amazed at the skill levels on display at youth tournaments and this was no exception.
“A special well done must go to Colum Staines for his perfecto. 300 coming in the singles on day one.
Overall a fantastic competition culminating with the usual banquet. Lots of presentations and great fun for all the bowlers and guests.
“The baton was passed on to Scotland and we now look forward to seeing everyone at next years YTC.”
