Note: The Tenpintour is a Seniors tour with handicap scores. Total Scores & Total Pinfalls quoted below are inclusive of handicap, however the averages are event averages and are therefore scratch.
Stop 1 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2026 took place at Romford on 24/25 January 2026. A total of 92 senior bowlers, comprising 69 men and 23 women took place in this months competition.
Men – Nik Parry a relative newcomer to the Tenpintour and winning his first TPT event, popular bowler Nik Parry started ‘hot’ with games of 203 and 222 before a 197, but quickly followed by games 203, 253 and 201, for a 5 honour games total 1.279 scr + 228 hcap = 1,507 total / 213 avg tournament winning total. 2nd place saw Alan Keddie with the back-5 honour games including 252 and 272 for a 1,388 + 72 = 1,460 \ 231 total. Bob Ockleford placed 3rd with 3 honour scores in his 1,240 + 216 = 1,456 / 207 and 4th place went to Alan Meades with a high game 255 in his 1,320 + 108 = 1,428 / 220 total whilst 5th place was taken by Richard Parker with 1,182 + 216 = 1,379 / 197.
The men’s high game, which was also the High Game for Stop 1, was shot by Chris West in game 1, with a 289.
Women – Jodi Law also took her first Tenpintour title this month, and carded a high game 201 in game 3 to secure her 1,052 scr + 228 hcap = 1,280 / 175 winning total over 2nd placed Carol Brock who had started with a 203 game in her 1,127 + 108 = 1,235 / 188 total and 3rd place saw Sarah Boyer opening with a 201 game in her 1,052 +156 = 1,208 / 175 total. 4th place went to Hilary Cooke with a 200 in game 3 and a 1,009 + 180 = 1,189 /168 tal and 5th went to Bev Smitheram with a 1,015 + 168 = 1,183 / 169 total.
The women’s high game was shot by Tracy VanDyk in game 5, with a 238.
