The YBE 2024 U10 Challenge Cup presentations were made on November 24 at Airport Bowl Harlington, as part of the YBE 2024 Endeavour Tour Finals.
The 5-event 2024 U10 Challenge Cup was conceived to give our youngest members a taste of what it is like to compete against their peers both locally and across the Nation – to begin to feel like an athlete.
Each competition week operated as a discreet event, managed by and under the watchful eyes of their home YBC, and the successful top-3 athletes each week were awarded Gold, Silver & Bronze medals by their YBC Committee on behalf of Youth Bowling England.
We congratulate each and every bowler who took to the lanes and had a go at at least 1 week, and extra congratulations to those who built on the idea of competing as a young athlete, and completed 3, 4 or even 5 weeks.
As the inaugural U10 Challenge Cup drew to its conclusion it was 1st Place to Dunstable’s Codi Humphrey with a highest score of 577.8, 2nd Place to Madison Heights Rebecca Thorpe (526.0) 3rd Place to Dunstable’s Harriet Bonfield (494.6).
