Youth Bowling England (YBE) are delighted to accept intents from Counties who wish to participate in the YBE Youth Counties 2024.
YBE are inviting INTENTS for the YICC2024, which will take place on 10 & 11 August 2024, at Atlantic Bowl, Altrincham, WA14 5BW. U16’s will bowl on Sat. 10 & U22s on Sun. 11. U16s may bowl in U22 Teams.
Please will you confirm your intents to enter a team in either, or both, of the U16 & U22 Championships for 2024. Teams will comprise 4 male, female, or mixed athletes and will compete over 8 games, in 2 blocks of 4 games each.
As last year, athletes may be switched between games and the U16 winner and U22 winner of your trials will be entitled to bowl at least 2 games, and every athlete must bowl at least 1 game. Each County can register a squad of up-to 6 athletes per team competing.
When we have numbers of teams we can then work with the bowl on entry costs, and where capacity allows offer more spaces. For now please confirm if you intend to enter an U16 team and/or an U22 team.
Athletes must have the correct level of membership to bowl in the Championships. Inter County Championships Rules & Regulations, January 2024 v 1, Rule 3(b)-(ii) states: “In the junior championships a junior or league membership is adequate.”
Please note that the timeframe by which intent replies are required has been extended until further notice, to allow Counties which have yet to complete their trials the opportunity to participate. Only after we have received and processed all squad registrations and payments can we offer additional squad places. These will be on a first-come-first-served basis and must be paid for along with the registrations and a copy of your trials results.
