87 Senior Men and 32 Senior Women competed at Airport Bowl, Harlington, in the third stop of the 2024 Tenpintour.
SENIOR MEN – Mark Wills began his ‘campaign’ strong with an opening 235 game, and the followed this with a further 4 over-par games of 225, 244, 227 and 201 ending with a 159, for a total 1291 scr. / + 186 / 1477 hcp. In 2nd place Tony Imren began with 195 before 5 over-par games of 216, 233, 206, 216 and 205 put him just 20 behind Wills with 1271 /162 / 1433. 3rd saw Alan willis shoot 1166 / 264 / 1430 with games of 210, 233 and 219, in 4th Guy Lipscomb delivered a very strong set of 1332 / 96 / 1429 including games of 236, 236, 248 and 224 whilst Mike Harris was 5th with 1115 / 312 / 1427 and games including 200 and 234.
The Senior Mens high game was Alan Keddie with 279, and additional mentions to David Crouch with a high of 256 and Alan Kennedy with 268.
SENIOR WOMEN – Lynn Gammage began here event with 190, and continued steadily for a winning total of 1084 scr. / +156 / 1240 hcp. 2nd placed Hilary Cooke had games of 193 and 191 as she recorded 1039 / 198 / 1237 in second, Denise Jenkins was 3rd with 831 / 396 / 1227 and we saw the first over-par games from Carol Brock in 4th place , adding 205 and 216 to her 1088 / 126 / 1214 total. Denise Dyke was 5th with a steady 1035 / 168 / 1203.
Senior Women’s high game was Sue Cobb with 258
