It is with much sadness we learned of the death of Jim Missen on July 2nd. Daughter Laura told the bowling community that both herself and her brother Ray had “..lost our wonderful dad who passed away naturally in his sleep Thursday 2nd July 2020.”
Memories and tributes have covered Facebook today from bowlers old and young, and we send his daughter Laura, son Ray and the family our deepest condolences.
Jim touched the bowling lives of many, and was frequently seen in England colours with our English Youth Teams at the Triple Crown events and further away at the World Sports Festivals. Nearer home he was regularly coaching at Liverpool YBC and with Lancashire County and of course, at the NAYBC Academy (and previously the Junior England Training Squad).
He will be dearly and widely missed by coaches, bowlers and parents alike.
