Ken Langham

It is with sadness we learn of the passing of Ken Langham.

“Former Area Secretary and Chairman of the Nottinghamshire Area Association, Ken Langham has passed away after a long illness”, writes David Winter.

“Ken was known around the bowling scene in the Midlands and north of England over several years and will be sadly missed by all the friends and colleagues that he amassed in that time.

He acted as a lane marshal many times at the NAYBC Nationals, the British Open Championships and various other large tournaments held at Nottingham Bowl.

Ken was a founding member of the Inter Centre Social League and the Northern Travelling league which came into being following the demise of the Coca Cola league, was a former President, and latterly Vice-President, of the Falstaff League, and he also bowled in the NBS league at Nottingham.”

The funeral is on Wednesday 6th November at Wilford Hill Crematorium (NG2 7FE) at 3.00 p.m to be followed by The Wake is at Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Bradmore, Nottingham NG11 6PQ.
