BTBA rolls out Educare Training

Over the past few months the Sports Development Team have been looking at ways to equip volunteers within the organisation with standardised training methods; particularly focusing on Safeguarding, Child Protection, Equality and Diversity, Anti-Bullying, General and Online Safety. The BTBA is pleased to announce the launch of our new online training programme provided by Educare Ltd®.

Utilising this package will help strengthen the organisation as a whole by making sure that all YBCs and venues will have representatives confident in their training. This will help progress our work practices by making sure we are protecting our members at the best of our ability.

No travelling to venues or taking time out to book days, this training package is now available to access online. Participants have the flexibility to complete this training in their own time, over as many sessions needed.

It will be necessary for all BTBA Certified Coaches and Council Members to complete certain modules within this training. Those who are currently working towards their Coach Certification or are upgrading or renewing their certification will need to complete the Educare training before they receive their coaching licence.

As well as training for Coaches and Council members, each YBC will be allocated a space for one regular volunteer that is not a coach or member of the national council. These could be members or parents that attend the YBC or help out and interact with children on an almost weekly basis.

For further information regarding this package, please check out the Educare Landing Page.  To register your place, please complete the Educare Application Form. If you have any questions regarding the training package, please contact Karen Costello at educare@btba.org.uk
