BTBA Archive: Skinner & Orange Win BTBA Tenpintour 2025 Stop 9 Stroud

Note:  The Tenpintour is a Seniors tour with handicap scores.  Total Scores/Total Pinfalls quoted below are inclusive of handicap, however the averages are tournament averages and are scratch.

Stop 9 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2025 took place at Stroud Bowl on 25 and 26 October 2025.  A total of 82 senior bowlers, comprising 62 men and 20 women took place in this months competition.

Men – Robin Skinner – wins once again, 1st place with 1,120 scr. + 300 hcp = 1,450 event total and a pair of honour scores in games 4 and 5.  in 2nd place was Sukky Gill closing with 3 honour scores in games 4, 5 & 6 and also recording both the tournament and mens high game of 286 in game 2, during his 1,312 + 132 = 1,444 set.  In 3rd place was Marc Helme with a pair of honour scores in his 1,219 + 222 = 1,441 total, matching 4th placed Dave Thornton who had 4 honours in his 1,141 + 300 = 1,441 total. In 5th place, also tied on 1,439 total were Scott Dangerfield (1,259 + 180) and Keith Hodge (1,169 + 270) .

Women – Carole Orange – also returned to the winners spot with her 1,146 + 132 = 1,278 event total over 2nd placed Sheila Ashton, who included a 216 honour game 2 in her 1,051 + 222 = 1,273 set.  3rd placed was secured by Linda Pray with a pair of honour games and her 1,115 + 156 = 1,271 total, over Lynn Gammage in 5th with a string of 3 honour games and her 1,138 & 114 = 1,252 finish.

The womens high game was shot by Anna Yang in game 3, with a 255!
