The BTBA are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Allen as the new Youth Team England Manager.
Steve has outlined his priorities as part of Youth Team England:
“It is a huge honour and a privilege that I have been offered the position of Youth Team England Manager. It has always been an ambition of mine to work with Team England after all my recent dedicated years being part of the NAYBC Committee as Tournament Director.
I want to create a more positive outlook and to provide constructive feedback with any negativity especially around Social Media. I will work with all the parents and bowlers throughout Youth bowling to build up a positive relationship within the bowling community and Team England. Bringing back the identity of Youth bowling at Team England level is a huge step in the right direction having a team of people dedicated 365 days a year to this age group.
I feel this role is a perfect fit for me working with the Youth section on the Team England Committee as I have devoted all my time and efforts over the years to this age category. I look forward to being part of a new team and helping drive the sport in England forward at International level.
Our sports future are the Youth bowlers of today. The development of these bowlers will be the future success of Team England.“
