The U18 Inter Counties was held last weekend, 30/6/18 – 1/7/18 at Airport Bowl, with 12 different counties taking part and entering at least one team in this 4-person team event.
Highlights of the day included a 210 average from Warwickshire’s Jay Goodwin, with Kent’s Haydn Baxter taking the men’s high game with 258. In the women’s section, Jenny Grace of Lincolnshire topped the averages with 189.8. Warwickshire’s Isabel Allen took the high game with 247.
Overall, it was Kent who emerged men’s champions, beating Warwickshire in a nail-biting final match 735-734. In the bronze medal match, Yorkshire defeated Essex 761-648.
In the ladies, Hampshire defeated Norfolk in the final 680-554 to emerge champions. Sussex defeated Lincolnshire 700-663 to claim the bronze medal.
