86 bowlers in total took part and it was great to see many new juniors tackling their first tournament. Bowlers on the Sunday morning had a little extra excitement to their day when the fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate. Fortunately it was nothing serious and normal service was resumed very quickly with bowlers taking it all in their stride and getting straight back into their games without any issues.
Division A – averages 176+ – was won by Cameron Brown averaging 205 over his 6 games = 1230 pins. 2nd was Grace Thomis averaging 185 = 1112 pins and finishing in 3rd place was Callum Daley averaging 184 = 1109 pins.
Division B – averages 151-175 – saw Kieran Hockney finish in 1st place averaging 199 = 1198 pins, Ethan Quinney finished 2nd averaging 189 = 1139 pins and Ella Dunphy finished in 3rd place averaging 174 = 1044 pins
Division C – averages 126-150 – we saw Ryan Garthwaite finish in 1st place with a 168 average = 1010 pins, closely followed by Caleb Bailey in 2nd place averaging 166 = 1000 and 3rd place was taken by Brandon Garthwaite averaging 164 = 985 pins
Division D – averages 101-125 – Olivia Richardson fought well throughout the day and finished in 1st place with a 147 average = 886 pins. Bailey Lounds came 2nd with a 138 average = 829 pins and for his first ever Bowlers Club entry Lewis Blowfield finished 3rd with a 131 average = 787 pins.
Division E – averages upto 100 – Frankie Leasley finished in 1st place with a 114 average = 689 pins. Adam Kulyn was 2nd with a 112 average = 673 pins and Kirsty Green missed out 2nd place by just 2 pins finishing 3rd on a 111 average = 671 pins.
