74 men and 25 women travelled to Rollerbowl Romford for the opening event of the 2024 BTBA Tenpintour.
Men – Keith Gretton headed the men with a total 1,498 (1,132 scr. / +366 Hdc) over Michael Pray in 2nd with 1,479 / 1,143 / 336, Mike Harris in 3rd with 1,473 / 1,155 / 318, Stuart Rushton in 4th with 1,470 / 1,290 / 180 and Darren Hall in 5th with 1,444 / 1,294 / 150. There we 12 athletes who averaged 200 scratch or more for the event, and the high game appears to be 269, by Carl Vanderhook in Game 2.
Women – Sue Cobb was the leading woman with 1,284 (1,086 scr. / +198 Hdc) over 2nd placed Elaine Davey with 1,271 / 1,091 / 180, Tina Connop in 3rd with 1,257 / 831 / 426, Jan Hodge in 4th with 1,237 / 1,171 / 66 and Debbie Law in 5th with 1,235 / 1,067 / 168. Only on woman, Gaye McCully, managed 200 avg. for the event and also shot the woman’s High Game with 238 in Game 6.
