Kindhearted tenpin bowlers and their families and friends came together to raise vital funds for a Newham charity.

“The Sunday Doubles league staged their annual event at RollerBowl, Romford, to support young people’s charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve. They took part in the Fred Williams Tournament. It was their 25th charity bowl in the last 20 years.
“The night raised £511 for the charity, and took the total raised by the league for charities to almost £15,000.
“Winner of the men’s scratch tournament was
“Dean Kingston, with Paul Mitchell runner-up and Wayne Laurence third.
“Winner of the women’s scratch tournament was Jane Kingston, with Kirsty Mitchell runner-up and Natalie Sicondolfi third.
“Winner of the men’s handicap tournament was Colin Grainger, with Steve Simmons runner-up and Marc Newman third..
“Joint winners of the women’s handicap tournament were Nadine Simmons and Alina Costa (tied) with Sam Kingston third.
“The young person’s tournament was jointly won by Hannah and Isabel Sicondolfi.
“The prizes were presented by Roller Bowl manager Alfred Hasana, League president Paul Mitchell and league treasurer Jane Kingston. League secretary Colin Grainger thanked the bowlers and their families and all at RollerBowl for their support.
