Welcome Toby Clark, New Senior Inter County Championships Secretary

We welcome Toby Clarke to the role of Senior Inter County Championship (SICC) Secretary from October 2023.

Toby will be taking over from Paul LeManquais who retires the role after this years Senior ICC Finals, October 14/15 at Guildford Spectrum.  Toby is well prepared for the chaotic and demanding role an ICC Secretary often is, as his day job is as a Student Support Officer in a secondary school…or ‘riot control’ as he affectionately refers to it!

Toby told us he has a high game of 288 and series 778 and is a keen Peterborough Utd. supporter as well as a Huskies ice hockey follower, with one of his sons a pro-goalie for Haringey Huskies.

“I have been bowling since the age of six and currently average 221 in both of the local leagues on a Monday and Tuesday night.  I grew up doing the YBC tournaments then moving into the YAC and now are involved with the county teams for Cambridgeshire in adults and seniors.

“I have now made the decision to step up and run the senior county tournament as attending for the last few years I can see what a wonderful tournament it is and how great it is to see bowlers from all ends of the UK come together to compete against each other.

“I have some plans to make it bigger and better but you will have to wait and see for these.  I would like to thank Paul for all his hard work over the years and I hope to see him relaxing and just bowling now without all the worries!!.”

Welcome Toby, and we wish you every success in your new role!
