The 2023 British Youth Team Open took place on the 18th & 19th March at Mansfield Superbowl.
A total of 28 Teams of Four athletes competed over six games in two 3-game blocks, changing lanes after each game and with a second oil pattern in block 2.

Three teams competed in Division 1, with ‘Shipley 1’ finishing top on 3032 / 505.3 avg. over ‘Hull 1’ in 2nd with 2272 / 462.0 avg. and ‘Hull 2’ in 3rd with 2006 / 334.3 avg.
Division 2 – Combined Average of 481 – 680

18 teams made up the mid-division with ‘Dunstable 1’ finishing top on 4111 / 685.2 avg over ‘3+1’ in 2nd with 4039 / 673.2 avg and ‘Barnsley 1’ 3rd with 3941 / 656.8 avg.

Seven team made up the high-average division, including our 2023 European Youth Championships team preparing to head out to Vienn
a this Easter. Finishing top were ‘Team EYC23 Male’ on 5162 / 8603 avg over 2nd placed ‘Shipley 3’ with 4944 / 824.0 avg. and Excell/Manchester 3rd with 4628 / 771.3 avg.
Highlights
Ryan Smith was highest male with 1562 / 260.3 avg over 2nd placed Frank Stephenson (EYC) with 1483 / 243.8 avg, and Charlie Upton (EYC) 3rd with 1373 / 228.8 avg. The top-3 non-EYC places went to Ryan Smith 1st, then Blake Smith 5th with 1324 / 220.7 and Ashton Newton 7th with 1212 . 202.0
Jessica Sillis (EYC) was highest placed female with 1184 / 197.3 avg over Yolanta Stephenson (EYC) 2nd with 1162 / 193.7 and Izzy Fletcher (EYC) 3rd with 1137 / 189.5. The top-3 non-EYC places were taken by Grace Thomis 5th with 1071 / 178.5 over Abbie Rhodes 6th with 1063 / 177.2 and Olivia McCarthy 7th with 1020 / 170.0
