The Southern Scratch Singles 2023 took place at Stroud Bowl on 25 & 26 February 2023.

46 youth athletes bowled 6 games scratch in two divisions: up-to 150 average and 150+ and over average, as published on the YBE website. 16 athletes bowled in the up-to 150 average division and 35 in the 150+ average division.

QUALIFICATION
Qualification was over 6 games, cutting go the top-4 by total pinfall.
In the up-to 150 average division Ellie led female qualifying with 857 over Ava 2nd with 850, Tara 3rd with 786 and Taylor 4th with 745. Sam led male qualifying with 956 over Luke 2nd with 829, Alfie 3rd with 767 and Milo 4th with 671.
In the 150+ division Izzy led female qualifying with 1267 over Millie 2nd with 1238, Jessica 3rd with 1206 and Yolanta 4th with 1123. Frank led male qualifying with 1279 over Ben 2nd with 1259, Dan 3rd with 1258 and Alex 4th with 1189.
FINALS
The finals were bowled as a ‘low-person-drop’ each game, until a winner was found.
In the up-to-150 division Ellie finished top female over Tara 2nd, Ava 3rd and Taylor 4th. Alfie finished top male over Luke 2nd, Sam 3rd and Milo 4th.
In the 150+ division Izzy finish top female over Yolanta 2nd, Jessica 3rd and Millie 4th. Dan finished top male over Frank 2nd, Alex 3rd and Ben 4th.
