Congratulations to Senior Team England’s Angie Brown & Gaye McCully on their Doubles Gold Medals yesterday at the European Bowling Senior Championships at Løvvang Bowling Centre, Aalborg.
Bowling in the afternoon squad on Monday January 30, Angie and Gaye completed qualifying in 3rd with a superb 2,274 pins (189.5 avg.) out of a field of 35 teams.

In the semi finals they would meet the Swedish pairing of Christina Dahlgren & Eva Vännman and defeated them 377 to 355, whilst Belgium’s Véronique Perniaux & Linda Van Kerckhove would defeat Germany’s Ante Materne & Bianca Völkl-Brandt 378 to 348 to setup an England – Belgium final.
The final would see Gaye & Angie roll 367 against Perniaux & Van Kerckhove’s 351 and secure the Senior Women’s Doubles Gold.
