We are pleased to present the ‘Strategic Planning 2022-2023’ report.
The British Tenpin Bowling Association (BTBA) has the privilege and responsibility to promote and develop a remarkable sport with a long heritage. The England teams are respected as equals in the world of Tenpin Bowling, with regular representation at the highest levels. Team England are accepted as a serious competitor in International Bowling Federation events. The ultimate goal of this association is to provide opportunities to bowlers from across the country to bowl in organised leagues and tournaments. From the most junior (barely able to walk) to the most senior (barely able to walk) there is a tournament for everyone, and yes, we do mean everyone because bowling is a truly inclusive sport.
We also need to provide support nationally, tailored to individual needs, that gives all bowlers the chance to develop their skills and abilities to their desired level whether that be at local, County or international level.
This ‘high level’ document attempts to describe the Vision, Values and the Key Objectives of the Association and outlines our plans to develop the sport, as a National Governing body, so that it is not only accessible to all, but it becomes the “Sport of Choice” for many.
Detailed plans and actions will be developed and maintained by each member of the Executive Council who have direct responsibility for that division. In turn each National Council Member will be held accountable for the delivery of items included within their remit.
