Bowling is back!

#BowlingIsBack

I am delighted to announce that Bowling Centres are able to re-open on Saturday 15th August.

In an announcement yesterday the Prime Minister said, “Bowling alleys, skating rinks and casinos to reopen for the first time as well as indoor play and soft play centres which comply with new COVID-19 Secure guidelines”.  The full announcement can be found  here –

This is fantastic news for the Bowling Community and we ask you all to support your local centres as much as possible over the coming weeks.

The resumption of leagues will still be difficult and we urge you to talk to your Centre Management to discuss your options.  As stated above, centres must comply with the COVID-19 Secure Guidelines so please do bear this in mind when having these discussions.  We are working on a Return to Play document and hope to have this approved for distribution shortly.

The BTBA are delighted that bowling has finally been given the green light and I for one am looking forward to getting back on the lanes for some much needed practice!

Take care and stay safe.
