World Men’s Championships 2018 – Trios

Trios qualifying at the World Men’s Championships 2018 in Hong Kong is now complete, and it was a stronger event for the English trio Elliot Crosby, Adam Cairns, and Hadley Morgan who fought hard to finish in twelfth place at the end of the six games.

Following a 561 (187 average) first game, Commonwealth Medalist Crosby fired a 278 in game 2, before rallying the team to a storming 701 (233.33) in their final game of the first block. The trio ground out their first two games of the second block, before fighting back with a 668 (222.66) to finish on a total of 3731 (207.28) in twelfth place.

Korea’s Jongwoo Park, Seonghoi Koo, and Kyungmin Kim took the top qualifying spot with 3960 (220), after finishing with two 700+ games to leapfrog Sweden and Indonesia.

The top 24 bowlers in the All Events will qualify for the Masters. After the trios, Pontus Andersson of Sweden holds the coveted 24th spot with 3775 (209.72).
