DOMinates stepladder to take the title in Wichita, Kansas

Three-time World Bowler of the Year, Dom Barrett of Colchester, Essex, yesterday won four consecutive matches to run the stepladder on route to claiming the 2018 US Open title.

33 year old Barrett, who recently became a dad for the first time, became the third foreign bowler to win the US Open, earning $30,000 and the coveted green jacket. He defeated top-seed Jakob Butturff of Arizona in the thrilling title match, clinching the win by just one pin, 207-206, to win his seventh PBA title.

The US Open is the fourth and final major championship in the 2018 Go Bowling! PBA Tour schedule. Barrett’s win comes just a week following compatriot Stuart Williams’ second PBA title win in the Tulsa Open.
