QubicaAMF has announced that Sam’s Town, Las Vegas, USA will be the hosts for the 54th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup, from 4th to 11th November 2018.
The English qualifying event will become part of the BTBA Tour. Staged at Dunstable’s GO bowling on 4th & 5th August the event will be classified as a MAJOR on the BTBA Adult Tour. There will be some changes to the format from previous qualifying event to make it a more exiting and competitive event. The winners, one man and one woman, will be England’s representatives in Las Vegas.
Roger Creamer, QubicaAMF’s Director–International Relations and Sports Development, says, “I am delighted that the BTBA has taken on the challenge of managing the England qualifying event and I look forward to working with them in the years ahead. The QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup is an event sanctioned by World Bowling and as such, our preference is that their national federation members take on the responsibility for national qualifying events. I would also like to add how much QubicaAMF appreciates the work that Andy James and the PTBC have put into previous qualifying events”.
The 56-lane Sam’s Town centre will be showcasing BES X, the world’s only Bowler Entertainment System, and Conqueror Pro Management System. Designed to provide exciting competitive play at any level, BES X uniquely allows bowlers to review their game statistics on-lane, live and on-demand directly from the SuperTouch LCD bowler console. During the tournament, through BES X, bowling fans will also be able to keep up with their favourite bowlers with live, Online Scoring. They can view scores in real time; see what lanes bowlers are bowling on and their standing at any given moment. They can even stay connected with their favourite bowlers through the unique Facebook feature.
