The National Association of Youth Bowling Clubs (NAYBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Neville Nock as the new Chairman. Neville will begin the role on 1st September 2017 and will also join the BTBA National Council.
Terry Searle, BTBA Director of Sport Development said, “The NAYBC is steeped with history and has been the successful youth development arm of the BTBA for over 50 years, so the position of Chairman comes with many expectations and demands, and I would also like to thank Martyn Wenger and his committee for all their hard work and commitments over the last four years and wish him all the best with his retirement.”
Neville will be working with the outgoing Chairman, Martyn Wenger during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover. Martyn said, “It has been my privilege to have been the Chairman of the NAYBC for the last 4 years but the time has come to move on and let someone else take on the role. I am very grateful to have had the support of a hard-working committee.
I wish Neville Nock every success in the post. He is well-respected in the Youth bowling fraternity and I am sure he will serve the interests of Youth bowling in every way possible. I look forward to working with him during the transition period and beyond.”
Neville is well-known and respected within the NAYBC, having previously been the Junior Team England Manager.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to chair the NAYBC and excited to help move the association forward in the future. We have some challenging times ahead but I believe we are more than capable of improving in several areas.
I would like to thank Martyn Wenger for the great job he has done and look forward to working closely with him through this transition period. I am passionate about the sport and believe that together we can progress junior bowling.”
